Steer Roast

Steer Roast is a weekend gathering of Senior House residents, friends, and alumni which has been held annually since 1963. Events include the ceremonial lighting of the barbeque pit, two nights of live music, the festive meal, the awards ceremony, and more.

Since the shutdown of Senior House, Steer Roast has been held at various venues in and around Cambridge.

Steer Roast 2025 will happen on April 25th to April 27th!!

The Head Veep this year is Rob Guana. He can be contacted at headveeps25@mit.edu with any questions, suggestions, and offers to help with the various parts that make up Roast: bands, food, art, security, bartending etc.

Steer Roast is entirely funded by the Senior House Corporation and your generous donations. Anyone can donate, but if you are a Senior House alum, we ask that you also become a member of the corporation (there is no membership fee).
